Pastor
Dan Schroeder grew up and attended high school in Saginaw, Michigan. He
attended Michigan Lutheran Seminary (MLS), a synod preparatory school in
Saginaw, for his high school years and graduated in 1987. For the college
years he attended Northwestern College in Watertown, Wisconsin where he
began studying for the public ministry. After receiving a bachelor of arts
degree, Pastor Schroeder continued his ministerial studies at Wisconsin
Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin. He graduated with a Master of
Divinity degree in 1995.
During his seminary years Pastor Schroeder served a year of internship at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Franklin, Wisconsin. Upon completion of his studies at the seminary, he was assigned as a pastor for a new congregation, Morning Star Lutheran Church, in Jackson, Wisconsin, a far north-side suburb of Milwaukee and has been one of the fastest growing areas in the state of Wisconsin. In 2002, after serving seven years in Jackson, Pastor accepted a call to serve as the pastor of Risen Savior.
Pastor Schroeder has been married to his wife Linka since 1993. The Schroeders have been blessed with five children - Philip, Kylah, Joshua, Annika and Levi. The family enjoys going to the beach, all different sports, the outdoors, and reading.
